Capacity Building Trajectory for Hivos partners

Building forth on the workshop at ICASA in 2008, the process aims to promote co-operation among Hivos AIDS partners for effective sharing, capacity building & lobby/advocacy. More practically, to build a network of knowledge centres which grow by involving and training of other partners.

The AIDS Competence methodology supports partners in identifying issues to share and learn about and transfer ways to better share and link. The process started in Dec 2009 until May 2011.

Participants from 11 Hivos partners from India, Eastern and Southern Africa came together in February in Nairobi. During this first meeting, partners identified issues and learned methods to exchange their experience and they planned to do joint activities with other partners.

Activities involve 2 global consultation, 1 regional support visit to each of the three regions, facilitation of fellowship exchange visits and distant support in applying Blended Learning on AIDS Competence.
