Do you want to research an interesting and life changing topic?
We are interested in research on the following topics:
- Self-measurement of change by communities
- The link between SALT and spirituality
- Comparing the CLCP with other approaches that are being implemented: similarities & differences
... but we are also curious to know what you would like to learn about the Constellation or the Community Life Competence Approach.

Thesis of Aïcha: Knowledge, Representations, Attitudes and Behaviors towards AIDS of young girls of Moroccan and Muslim origin living in Brussels Are they competent to respond to their sexual and emotional life? "I myself am from a Muslim community in Brussels. By researching on AIDS I wanted to touch a deeper topic for my thesis in public health: the emotional and sexual health of young Moroccan girls. The parents control the affection and girls are considered minor eternally. They always need a man to oversee their emotional life. Therefore they do not have high self-esteem and they do not know their body well. The SALT approach helped me to guide my work. I understood that the key was to stimulate and bring up the strengths of young girls to build self-confidence. When people realize they have strengths, they learn to manage their own lives. In addition, the SALT approach also allowed me not to criticize my culture or my religion, but rather to observe the situation and continue to appreciate strengths. At the end of my thesis I proposed the SALT approach as a way to progress. This approach allows people to have more control over their life and thus become competent to face life. For me 'competence' is how to mobilize all the mental and physical resources to cope appropriately with a situation. Aïcha Benyaich is a member of BelCompetence, the Belgian Facilitation Team. She is a physiotherapist and has done research one the Constellations' approach for her thesis in public health. |
