Our experience
Since 2005, the Constellation has successfully facilitated local responses in more than 50 countries and through over 100 partnerships with governments, international and national organisations but also small groups of people who have found in SALT an inspiring and effective methodology.

Assam, INDIA-Community ownership of healthier living
"When you came to our village for the first time, we asked ourselves what you would bring us in terms of money or schemes. But now we realise that you had come to provide us a platform to share our dreams and hopes. You made us realise that we have a responsibility toward our own village." Since the Knowledge Fair, more people are coming forward to take part in the community activities. In parallel to following up on the earlier action plans, facilitators discuss with families and health workers to define the priorities. The main concerns are sanitation, hygiene, safe drinking water, nutrition, education and unity in the village. This initiative for health and more in the May newsletter. |
